Demonstrations

Demo in progress

A demonstration is a prime part of every meeting. These monthly demos most often showcase the skills of one of our own members, but on some occasions we invite nationally-known turners to spice things up a bit.

December 12, 2024— We will not conduct our typical monthly meeting. However, we will be holding our annual Christmas party event at St. Giles Presbyterian Church.

January 16, 2025— Join us and learn about multi-axis turning from Barbara Dill. We will also be judging wig stands made by club members for the Massey Cancer Center. Be sure to bring in a wig stand to participate.

February 20, 2025— Larry Yancey will guide us through turning a variety of materials and mixed media.

2024/2025 Turning Challenges

We hold four turning challenges each year, coinciding with a monthly meeting. Entrants will be eligible for the gift certificate drawing and will be immortalized in the Richmond Woodturners newsletter! See the newsletters for more details.

Google Calendar

Richmond Woodturners hosts monthly meetings, but we also participate in local and regional events where we can demonstrate and promote the art of woodturning.

You can keep up with everything by adding our calendar to your Google account. All our events will then appear in your Google calendar.
