Demo in progress

A demonstration is a prime part of every meeting. These monthly demos most often showcase the skills of one of our own members, but on some occasions we invite nationally-known turners to spice things up a bit.

July 18, 2024— Have you wanted to add some color to your lathe work? We will be learning about some different options for coloring your work.

August 15, 2024— Our own Dan Luttrell will be helping us learn to create pierced hollow forms. Check out some of his piercing work in our gallery pages.

September 19, 2024— Pam Bozkurt will show us how to turn wig stands.

2024 Turning Challenges

We hold four turning challenges each year, coinciding with a monthly meeting. Entrants will be eligible for the gift certificate drawing and will be immortalized in the Richmond Woodturners newsletter! See the newsletters for more details.

Google Calendar

Richmond Woodturners hosts monthly meetings, but we also participate in local and regional events where we can demonstrate and promote the art of woodturning.

You can keep up with everything by adding our calendar to your Google account. All our events will then appear in your Google calendar.
